Yesterday, I sent out an email plea for some wood and some help. Boy, did I get it.
Thanks to everyone who showed up to split, load, deliver and unload the wood that D donated.
Miss Ruby was very grateful.
I am, too.
God was pleased.
I am, too.
Yesterday was a day when the strength of the Body of Christ known as the church revealed itself and met a need in a family member's life.
Yesterday was a day when the love of a particular body of believers known as Hills Crossing Baptist Church shone forth in a mighty way.
Yesterday was a day when the cold of the weather (and, whoooeee, it was cold) was overcome by the warmth and caring of people who were willing to give of themselves to benefit someone else.
Yesterday was a day when many gave an offering of pure love to Our Heavenly Father by reaching out to meet a need.
Yesterday was a day when my heart was lifted and encouraged and I loved it. There was plenty of help and others who wanted to help that did not make it in time because those who showed up first stepped to and got the job done and I mean done.
Yesterday was a day when the church was the church in all the ways that the church is supposed to be the church.
Now, Church. How will we serve Him today?
Please don't forget to pray for revival. Earth-shaking, life-changing, nation-impacting revival.
Today could be the day God gives it. We just never know.
In His Love
Walter
